Orange Twister

No need to go to the mall anymore. Wait. Do people go to the mall?

There was a drink company in the mall where my mom worked that made the most amazing orange drinks I ever had. Bursting with flavor, they always had an orange foam on the top and seemed to stay cold forever.

METHOD

1.      Place the serving glasses into a freezer to chill.

2.      In a blender, combine all the ingredients until smooth.

3.      Crank the blender to high for about 15 seconds to build up the foam.

4.      Remove the glasses from the freezer.

5.      Split the liquid into the glasses, pour slowly to preserve the foam.

6.      Enjoy.

SOFTWARE

·       8 oz. orange juice, freshly squeezed if you can

·       2 t. orange zest

·       1/2 c. whole milk

·       1 T. powdered sugar

·       1/2 t. pure vanilla extract

 

VARIANTS

You can top the drink with a little more zest for an orange overload. The drink company used to blend in an egg white if you asked them. Feel free to do so and your foam will be kicked up several notches.
